Favorite Children's Book

One of my favorite children's books is "The Lion & the Mouse" by Jerry Pinkney. I love the colorful pictures, they are appealing and intriguing for young children. The moral of the story is something that children can relate with and understand easily. Children can sometimes feel small and unimportant, this story shows them that being small can be a good thing. The story also shows the importance of kindness, not judging someone based on how they look, and how anyone can become friends if they try.

  1. Angela,
I have not read this book, but I will definitely buy it. My children will love it. I think it is so important to be kind and respectful of other human beings. Children are our future, and if we want to build a harmonious, positive community where each member is respected and valued, we have to teach good moral values. My mother always says when you show respect to people, you send a message that says “this is how I want you to treat me in return." I congratulate you on the baby. You really are a trooper!

  2. Angela,

Isn't it amazing how vital life lessons can be broken down into such a simple format as a children’s book but still evoke a powerful message? And what is even more amazing is that young children get the message. It reassures us that we really are laying a foundation for the rest of their lives
